The Anet A8 and the “LABSER Fusion”

It all starts with a simple cube and a recycled doll eye chip. I needed a piece that fits the eye and the wood. It was a quick solution, that piece is printed in two parts and with two different filaments. (black and white) that fit together.

While sketching the panels, joints and parts, I discovered that I had to make different parts, use different techniques and materials.

Some pieces of wood are burned with the laser and other silhouettes are cut in foam and then glued on parts printed (Abs or directly on the wood).

All printed pieces are custom made on wood that is recycled. For the design of parts and rotary joints I use Fusion 360, Blender and Cura for Print.

Once we have all the pieces printed, trimmed, engraved and screwed.
It only remains to mount the Robot and see the result.

We test the magnets, moving and rotating parts. After a few small adjustments and we have our Robot ready for his first photo shoot.
