The first 3d printer is always an illusion, maybe you waited a long time to buy one, or you watched several videos and finally decided to buy one, or you decided to start a 3d business, or whatever it was.

Now you are in the world of 3d printing, but you may be wondering And now what do I do?

Well don't worry, here I will give you some tips to start using your 3d printer and make your first impressions.

The first thing you should do when your printer arrives is to unpack it and read the instructions or the user manual,

I also recommend you watch several videos or tutorials on how to assemble your printer, while you learn all the parts that make up your printer.

TAKE IT EASY

Assemble your printer with calm, take your time and adjust all the screws, nuts, straps, etc.

Find out about the printing materials and which brand of filament is the best for you in terms of price and quality, a good advice is to always buy good quality filaments, believe me it will save you a lot of headaches.

Know the very well your printer, what type of filament it can print, what maximum dimensions it allows, its type of extruder, its firmware, hot bed, etc.

PATIENCE

I really recommend printing groups, these are very large communities where they can help you and inform you about your specific printer.

I also recommend that you know and familiarize yourself with the software that you are going to use.

This software is called a slicer , for example Ultimaker CURA or Prusa Slicer which are free or paid like Simplify3d.

Be very patient, very very patient, the learning process is slow but believe me it is worth it.

It begins with the leveling and calibration of your bed, this step is very important since it depends on this that you have a good quality in your pieces.

3D printing is trial and error, printing is not just pressing a button and that's it.

You must learn how to use the slicer and see what parameters work for your type of filament and your printer.

For your first impressions you can use readymade models on pages like:

www.thingiverse.com, www.myminifactory.com, www.prusaprinters.comwww.cults.com

And later create your own designs.

Do not despair or give up if your first impressions go wrong, over time you will see that you will improve, everything is practice and knowledge.

Be very careful with hot parts, always use tools, normally all printers include their own tools, make sure everything is well adjusted before printing, place your printer in a ventilated environment and away from flammable objects.

The important thing is to print and read a lot, watch a lot of tutorials and just enjoy your prints!

Learn from mistakes and do not give up and finally do not be afraid of failing in your first impressions, and as they say out there the sky is the limit.

I encourage you to set yourself printing challenges and see your first impressions and with as time goes by, compare them and you will see how much you have advanced.

I hope this information is helpful and I wish you excellent prints!
